Original Artist made miniatures

I love miniatures.
I love to make original miniatures. Somehow I made tiny things all the time, even when I am trying to work large. I prefer 1:12 scale, but occationally have done things in 1/2 " scale.
I hope you enjoy kicking around my minature pages. I am adding things as I get them photographed and uploaded.
.
I love to make Halloween miniatures, including
  1. pumpkins
  2. pumpkin headed ghosts
  3. ouija boards
  4. tarot cards
  5. magic wands
  6. Jack O Lanterns
  7. Crystal balls
  8. spell books

I love to make other miniatures

  1. handpainted bird houses
  2. tiny bird nests with eggs
  3. gardens & flowers

I also love making dolls, I make Porcelain dolls in two sizes.....

1:12 scale for the dollhouse

a larger scale that is 7" high for display

I make cloth dolls that are about 14" high

This year I had a blast entering my dolls in the fairs around here I won a second place at our State fair, and 4 first places at our County fair

Please enjoy yourself poking around, as I never know what I am going to make next, but you can be sure that if it comes out great it will be posted here!

Green Victorian Witch Doll & Jack O Lantern

This an original porcelain doll by me!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
She is in 1/12th scale, which is perfect for your dollhouse or miniature setting. She was in a private collection prior to this, and is a doll made a while ago, I think she has stood the test of time.

She is dressed in a green cotton Victorian underskirt & bodice, with pink flowers and tiny ecru leaves. Her overskirt is solid green trimmed in ecru lace & picot trim. Her pantaloons are white as is her petticoat. She is permanently attached to her 'Kaiser' doll stand. (Kaiser is a very well know and respected brand of doll stand)

She has auburn hair, with curls at the back, & soulful brown eyes. She has a single emerald colored pendant necklace. Even her Victorian boots which are painted & china fired on are green. She has a green witch hat, & a Jack-O-Lantern both of which comes with her.
See Her delicate seperate fingers!

Her very elegant pointed witch hat is removable, and it has many different kinds of feathers on it, there are guinea feathers, ostrich feathers as well as some others I don't know the names of. It is trimmed in green cording and finished off with a handmade silk rose to compliment the rose flowers in her dress.

Since her wonderful hat is removable you can place it anywhere in the dollhouse that needs a bit of elegant magic.
.
I have been calling her Arabella around the Studio but you can name her anything you would like.
A Note about my dollsAll my dolls are completely hand made in my studio by myself. From the first sculpture, to sanding, firing and painting through to the final touches. These dolls come from my hands into yours. They are inspected at each stage along the way for quality; any that do not meet my standards are smashed. All wigs are made on the individual doll from fiber dyed in-house. All clothing is made on the doll, no commercial patterns are used. Most silks are dyed in-house as well. This assures you of an artist original that is ACTUALLYmade by the artist, and I give you a Certificate of Authenticity to prove it. My dolls are made to be investments, & meant to be passed down through the family. Please note as with any fine art, care must be taken, they are fragile, and as such insurance is a must.My miniature dolls and other works have been pictured in Nutshell News. I will be presenting my miniatures occasionally, both my open editions as well as one of a kind works. As always, each piece will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Halloween miniatures for sale Pumpkin Windsock

This is a miniature OOAK ( OOAK means One Of A Kind) windsock, entirely handmade by me. This is a larger windsock it is suitable for your dollhouse out in a big tree, or hanging from the gables of a Halloween house. You can use it as a decoration on a full sized Halloween Feather tree as well.It measures about 5-1/2 inches.
This windsock has pale pumpkin colored gauze as well as two deep orange streamers. It has pumpkin leaves trimmed in gold around it's 'neck' and a fluffy 'florist' bow as well. It is a nice long one that is able to capture all the Halloween spirits.

You can use this windsock outside your Witch's or Wizard's house, in a Staircase, in a dead tree in your dollhouse garden, even hanging off the parapets of a castle, or even as a unique Halloween ornament on a full sized feather tree.

I was surprised that this little pumpkin windsock came about as I was sculpting pumpkin ghosts, but when I finished his little head, I realized that he wanted to be a windsock! It comes with a certificate of Authenticity signed by me, I am sure It will very happily haunt your scale "halls" for eternity, if you would like.
